Ibiza Airport Departures

Ibiza Airport serves not only the islands of Ibiza but Formentera as well, which are the two of Spain’s most famous Balearic Islands. Several airlines serve the airport and departing passengers find all the facilities that they require at the airport. There is a single terminal building at the airport which is divided into two floors for arrivals and departures. All domestic as well as international flights arrive and depart from this building. Check-in desks can be located at the ground floor of the building with airline ticket sales office and the arrivals area. However, all the departure and boarding procedures take place at the first floor.

Even though Ibiza airport is not as big as the other airports of Spain but it can become really busy during summers therefore passengers are advised to allow plenty of time for checking-in and remain patient. Passengers need to make sure that they do not carry any objectionable item in their hand luggage during departures as it is the usual security requirement of most of the airports under European Union. At all European airports, passengers are not allowed to take any forbidden object with them that can be harmful to other passengers. There are certain new regulations regarding liquid item carriage in the flight too.

Departing passengers can reach at the airport by taxi or bus. Line 10 buses operate from Ibiza Town bus station in every half an hour and several taxi operators also provide transfers to the airport. Buses prove to be more cost-effective than taxis, but using any transport service depends on the individual preference of a passenger. However, both buses along with taxis ensure to provide convenient and comfortable transport to the airport. You will not find any train services at the entire Island of Ibiza but its excellent bus routes takes you almost everywhere within the town easily.
